Got these on a deal at the end of last year but have only just started wearing them. I wish I had looked at the one star reviews then as I would have returned them. They are not as comfortable as previous Skechers and the memory foam insole started to come away in the first week of wearing them. I would not buy them again at any price (edited)

I tried these on and sent them back. Not all Sketchers are equal and you get what you pay for. Nice and light but these offer nothing in comfort that compares to the higher end archfit gel shoes which I own.

Can you recommend any Sketchers or other brand that have high quality archfit or arch supporting insoles?

I bought a pair of Skechers steel toe cap work shoes last year as I thought they were supposed to be comfortable .
Not a chance , they are heavy, hard and inflexible.
Wouldn’t buy this brand again under any circumstances .
Worst pair of shoes I’ve had in 60 years .

No it doesn’t. You see plenty of people like teachers and nurses wearing black Skechers who want a lightweight comfortable shoe because they are on their feet for hours. You also see quite a few older people wearing them as well.

I believe that the “chav” shoe you are thinking off is something more like a Nike Air Max 97 or Air Max Plus, the big chunky ones with the lines down them.
