About this deal

Great price, prices from £389 to £410ish, Good availability from this June all the way to next March. BA's baggage allowance is fairly generous, allowing you 2 pieces of hand luggage, so works out better than some of the other deals (like Air France). Flights are direct from Heathrow.

Delhi, India’s capital territory, is a massive metropolitan area in the country’s north. In Old Delhi, a neighborhood dating to the 1600s, stands the imposing Mughal-era Red Fort, a symbol of India, and the sprawling Jama Masjid mosque, whose courtyard accommodates 25,000 people. Nearby is Chandni Chowk, a vibrant bazaar filled with food carts, sweets shops and spice stalls. ― Google

Now that's a decent fare and find by you with BA.
As with all these attractive fares, availability depends on the date and one has to be flexible and plan accordingly.
Also check the T&C regarding date changes, cancellation etc 🔥
Apparently it reached. 47c in Delhi yesterday!

Thanks, good thing is that it's booking direct with them so there should be slightly more flexibility in general

    Hand luggage only price

You only need to take hand luggage. Barter and buy your clothes when you get there. Cheaper than taking hold luggage with you. (edited)

I'm looking for somewhere to take my two boys aged 10 and 12 at Easter -mid April next year. This seems a great price -£2300 ISH , I had set my sights on Thailand - how does India compare ? This would be our first long haul . Thanks !

India is great. Depends where you go and what you want to do. So diverse. Goa is good local flight from delhi would be around £100 return. From Delhi you could go pretty much anywhere in India.

The checked baggage fare is only £30 extra each way and on this route it gives you 2x 23kg checked bags for this price

How much is the visa, and how can I get one?
    peakbear's avatar
Pretty sure you just apply online - Checking costs and it appears to be 127 quid for a tourist visa as I assume you can't just use the transit visa for 69 quid.

Lucky you. I am unable to get at that price in the month of Nov for 1 adult and 2 kids. 😞

Yes, it's hand luggage only but much better than other airlines like Virgin (allowance wise)

    Cabin baggage - what's included:
    • 1 Cabin bag. Maximum size: 56x45x25cm with 23kg weight limit
    • 1 smaller personal item handbag or laptop bag up to 40 x 30 x 15cm including handles, pockets and wheels.

Also, for only £30 each way you get to bring 2 * 23kg Checked luggage extra, which beats any other airlines economy.
