It's like baldurs gate 1&2 but you build your party (up to 6) from the start instead of them joining you as you play. It's also more combat focused.

One of my favourite games of all time.

1.60 on '' kin gu in dot net ''. no spaces between

there are plenty cd key markets out there. try ''all keys shop dot com''. again no spaces. but always be careful and never spend more than a couple of pounds on these markets. sometimes sellers will give you weird region cd keys etc which wont activate. youll get a refund but at a couple of pounds you wont risk much. Full party of ranged attackers melts everything too, arrows > bolts for the final boss, G3n3ralWast3 already mentioned but a Dwarven Defender up front tanking - kiting with the rest of your party ranged can breeze through every encounter in the game. Ranged are not as strong after BG1. (edited)

i find that no matter what tank i set up for melee harassment, the enemy will get bored of it and will chase someone else. i have to pause, get the tank on ranged combat and get some other character on the run. many many times until all enemies are down.

unless dwarves/ warriors have some sort of shout that aggro enemies on them?

but on more complicated encounters my mage is the best bet. and the mage needs preparing a day ahead (edited)

thers nothing that can beat a classic CRPG. not even the ever present Baldurs Gate 3 ads

Literally never made it past the first (maybe 2nd?) screen in this game. I remember getting savaged by wolves over and over and giving up

Amazing games tho. Neverwinter Nights, Baldurs Gate etc, classics. Gonna have to give this one a go again

the secret is to cheese combat with everyone in the party having ranged attack as secondary. have one party member kite around enemy and the rest shoot at the enemies.

I picked this up a few days ago. Not played in years and didn't realise it's part of the BG series

also while there apparently will never be an Icewind Dale 2 Enhanced Edition since they lost the source code (whatever that means), the original still goes for under a fiver on eBay. (edited)
