Have this camera, amazing quality for this price, full frame and compatible with all e mount lenses from Sony and other 3rd parties

Really tempted to get this one with a good all in one lens.
The 35-150 F2-2.8 Tamron seems to be a perfect fit. Unless someone has a different recommendation?

That lens is huge and will be a pain to use on such a small body. For my A7CII set up I use small primes. You can take your pick from the Samyang Tiny series, The Sigma i series or Sonys own small primes like the 24, 35, 50. I went with Samyang as they are the lightest options and use mine with the 18mm, 45mm and 75mm. (edited)

Amazon.. Hmmm... Swapped items and all.... Not worth the risk for high value items... Me thinks

tempted by this but I think I will wait until the A7Cii comes down in price (by which time I will probably make the same comment about the A7Ciii)

Stick a 2.8 pancake on it. Miles better than the fuji x100iv. Same size.

how will i be able to shoot my tiktok videos though? X100iv in the frame is guaranteed to bring more subscribers.. (lol). (edited)

Fantastic camera for the money indeed. Great all around performance, from low light to autofocus. Captured some decent pics of aurora last week with it.

tempted but don't want to have to buy lenses ... have canon aps-c ones, is there any adapter that. would allow using them on this ?
    damcnaught's avatar
There are Canon to E-mount adaptors, but you'd have to run this in crop mode, so I'd suggest there's no point buying a full-frame camera to then stick on APSC lenses.

If you buy this & an adaptor, at least get 1 or 2 FE lenses to utilise the camera fully. (edited)

+1 for the 45mm Samyang with an A7C. I use this as my walkaround setup and it's amazing. Like a mid point between a nifty fifty and a 35mm - 45mm is my favourite focal length. And f1.8 + A7C processing means it can handle pretty much anything you throw at it, light wise.

For days at the beach with the kids / travel I use the tamron 28-200 f2.8-5.6. Also incredible picture quality and versatility in a package that's small and light (for a full frame setup). Sure, other lenses give better absolute quality, but it's all a trade off & the reach on this 1 lens is amazing. Recommended!

sounds like the camera + the samyang 18 and the tamron 28-200 would be a good setup ... just need £2000 (!)
