Hi,

After a 10-12' tree to provide some much needed garden privacy. Can anyone make any recommendations on types of trees and where sells them at a height of 10-12' already?

Obviously after the cheapest price possible.

Thanks in advance

Eucalyptus tree, evergreen and fast growing. Doesn't mind being pruned either. Donington nurseries near East midlands airport usually have some big ones at reasonable prices.

We have bamboos brought from garden centre about 12ft tall and still growing. They were around £25 each on offer last year

Another vote for bamboo. Homebase and the like usually have them for £25 at 8-12ft. If you don't want them to spread you can keep them in a pot. They will still be tall and bushy.

Thanks. Which garden centre?

If you do go for bamboo, do your research before you buy. Some spread like wildfire and you will need a panda to keep them under control. That said though, I had one blocking out the view of my neighbour's trampoline in my last house and it was great. It doesn't block all the light out either.
