Hello,
In a lookout for a laptop for a friend, specs as follows if possible:
14.1" (must)
Core 2 Duo (must)
Under 2kg (ideally)

Thats it really.. Mainly for office work, bit of adobe photoshop work, no gaming.

Looking at the NP-X420 but are there any other similar ones (any reliable brand).

Thanks for your help!!

can you get a X420 for that budget??

This ones might be worth a look,t,slightly slower dual core cpu but fine for most peoples needs ,also has a dvd writer which i personally like to have still weighs around 2kg and its over £100 cheaper than the x420.

Is the Acer Timeline that Argos has on offer at £399 the same as the ebuyer model? Ebuyer says that theirs is the cheapest on the web.
The spec looks the same but I don't uderstand all of it.

John Lewis has an Acer Timeline Laptop, 4810TZ-413G25MN which is £499, do you think they will pricematch?
Argos has an Acer AS4810T Timeline, which is £399
Ebuyer has an Acer Timeline 4810TZ, which is £416
They are all 3GB RAM and 250GB HDD.
