We need to know what sort of drive it is. Size could be either 3.5 or 2.5, and also the interface could be IDE or SATA.

It's probably a 2.5" SATA, but drop the make and model down (of the actual drive) and a quick google search will tell you what it is. Just get a matching enclosure and you're done.

At 1TB, you've probably got a 12.5mm drive, but you really need to look up the model number to get the exact dimension. You're probably used to the more comment 9.5mm or 7mm drives, they can go up to 19mm. An Amazon search for "12.5mm SATA enclosure" shows quite a lot - the size of the drives they will take are stated on a lot of adverts, so you should be safe.
