Okay, I was one of the guys scammed out of £228 as Cdiscount went bust a couple of weeks ago - see thread - http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/496621/lg-32lh2000-32-hd-ready-digital-lcd

So, I still need a new TV. 32" is fine. Must do 720p for playing on the 360. The problem is that I'm now struggling more than ever to find a cheap one that I'm going to be happy with.

We have the cheapo ones at £260 like this at eBuyer which while receiving good reviews, don't exactly instil confidence because of the brand - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/154997

Meanwhile we have some branded stuff floating around at ~£300 that people seem to be arguing over the quality of - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/174196

Can anyone find a great deal on a quality 32" HDTV that will be hard to grumble at?

Has anyone made a recent purchase they can recommend?

Id go for a Toshiba AV615DB if I were you. Very popular TV, got one myself, great TV. The customer reviews on amazon, argos etc. speak for themselves.

Think it has been £280 once on here but still a good price at £300

This is what confuses me! We must have been through about 6 generations of HDTVs already!

Probably not worth posting as a deal, but that new 4 series sammy is £310 in Richer Sounds.

It's the number 1 top selling tv on play.com, I've had mine for 10 months, couldn't be happier with it! there's tons of reviews on the net for it, your be hard pressed to find a better 32 in that price bracket!

Yup. Well I'm in Leeds. Would go out and buy the Sammy today from Richer for £309.99 and add the warranty for another £31 but apparently John Lewis will match the price and throw in their 5 year warranty?

Shame there's no John Lewis near me!
