As the title says looking for a tv, lcd or plasma, main uses will be using for my PS3, movies are not important but watching sport is, might get sky HD at christmas time so looking for something to handle that well but it need to look decent on SD, £600 Max, any suggestions??

or for an extra £59 (which does take u a fraction over budget admittedly) you could go for this:

37" Toshiba HDTV

compare the 800:1 contrast of thr Vistaront to the 18,000:1 contrast of the Toshiba.

9 of the 10 customer reviews give this 5 stars, and the other 1 gives it 4 stars.

if you want a plasma, the alternative could be this one...

i'd suggest going for the toshiba. £610 for a 1080p television is brilliant!

800:1 contrast of thr Vistaron to the 18,000:1 contrast of the Toshiba

18000:1 is the dynamic contrast ratio for the toshiba, the 800:1 is the static contrast ratio for the vistron different brands advertise different figures to confuse people
