Can anyone recommend a half decent branded 42" LCD TV please? Preferably 1080p

We've been looking at the Philips 42PFL5603 for around £600 delivered (4% Quidco)

Does anyone know if this is a decent TV?

Are there any other cheaper / better deals out there?

I recently purchased the 42LG5010, I was looking everywhere hoping to make the right decision on spending some serious cash, then came across the reevoo.co.uk site. After reading through all the reviews, I plumped for the above model, cost me about £570 with free delivery code and I must say it is brilliant. Nice and sleek in black.

I like the new Sony 40" V4000 series. Worth looking out for a decent deal on one (think Currys have them for £599 but not sure). I just got two of the 26" versions for my kids and believe me they are cracking tvs. Viewing angle is superb and beat most other 26" that i saw in the flesh when compared.

If the 40" is the same as the 26 then i can highly recommend. Can you live without the extra 2 inches ?
Panasonic Viera 42" :)
Panasonic TH-42PZ80B 42" 100Hz PLASMA TV £709.99 Currys.
Thanks for all the help guys, I'll let you know what he plumps for when he does! :)
