Hi, does anyone have a recommendation of how to make use of 5 days in Greece (having never been before)?

Athens will be a certainty for a couple of days to see the historical sites, but from the flights/general travel it looks like we might only have an option for one other place (maybe Thessaloniki, Crete or Santorini). Not sure what to really do.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

The Temple of Poseidon is a must see. The views over the water from there are stunning. Athens is a beautiful place to visit too. Enjoy :)

Thessaloniki recommended. Santorini is lovely but gets very busy and is a tiny place!

I would recommend skiathos as it is a beautiful island and very close to the mainland

Halkidiki, vouliagmeni and a few boat trips either to local islands or at least to see Mount Athos. Loads of reading on each.

You'll love it.
