The Sony Bravia 50" from Argos (rear projection) in the hot deals section. Fantastic Tv and well worth the 799 pounds they want.

Here's the direct link

Don't bother with LCD, at 50" you just will not get your money's worth as technology in LCD format is not quite good enough for larger screens. Get a plasma or as stated get the TV in the post above, it is the best bang for buck you will get and the picture quality is perfect.

I would be careful of that TV in your first post.

First off, even the top manufacturers struggle to push out a decent LCD tv above 40". Secondly I have never heard of that company before. It would be wise of you to pop over to www.avforums.com and look in their LCD section and see if there are any people talking avout that particular model or at the very least the compnay itself.

It is a very busy forum so I would be surprised if there was no info on this company.

Here is an alternative, I will add more as I come to them, one word of advice, never just go and buy the one you like the look of, again pop over to AVforums.com and find the model you are thinking of getting, plenty of people will be talking about it, then you can find it's good points and bad points and see if it's worth spending all that cash.

Not sure if this Hitachi is 1080p, it says 1080i but the res says 1080 so it may be 1080p, worth looking into at this price: http://www.digitaldirect.co.uk/products_moreinfo3/index.asp?product_id=11192

Sharp Aquos 37" LCD: http://www.digital-point.co.uk/model.php?ID=2830

There are more, but you are going to be looking at larger tv's and in LCD format I would not go that big.
