Hi,

Im looking to get a new 50" plasma TV and was wondering if anyone knew what the best deal would be under £1000. I know for this amount im probably not going to be able to get full hd but id like to stretch my money as far as it would go anyway.

Thanks.

I am also looking for a 50" Plasma and the details I have up to now are:-
Philips 50PFP5532 HD ready digital plasma - £849 @ Currys
LG 50PC56 HD ready digital plasma - £899.98 @ Currys
Samsung PS50A456P HD ready digital plasma - £1099.99 @ Currys

I have also been into J Lewis and Fenwick in Newcastle and I am told that they are waiting for a new range of Panasonic and Samsung to come in the next couple of weeks, so maybe it is worth waiting. Hope that helps a bit. I am still looking and comparing different tvs. :)

You should definately try RicherSounds, online or instore, they sometimes have some fantastic deals,
Four years ago i picked up a 40" plasma, complete surround system, stand, DVD etc and 3year warranty for £1300.
May seem a bit steep but four years ago £1300 was a fantastic offer, nowadays for £1000 you should be able to pick up a lot more.
