Hi
I'm looking for a 50 cc moped and was wanting to know where the best place was to go etc.
I guess I would be needing tax, insurance etc... and I'm not sure how much this would be around.
Hope you can help.

Cheers :)

Hi where are you located? i have one for sale ?????
#2
Glasgow.
What kind etc.. ?
How much would insurance cost?

I would get a 125cc as only costs a little more and is far more useful.

If your going to look after your bike then something like this will be good http://*********.co.uk/NEW-125cc-BIKE-LEARNER-08-MODEL-125-SPORTS-SCOOTER_W0QQitemZ280197023130QQihZ018QQcategoryZ424QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem. Listing number 280197023130

If your going to thrash the living daylights out of it and never check the oil or anything then buy a branded jap bike.

You will hear stories about cheap chinese bike but they are much better than they used to be but you have to look after them.

As for insurance the cheapest option by far is 3rd party only, but if you leave it about it will get stolen however nice the area.

A guy once told me ages ago 'Don't leave your bike anywhere you wouldn't leave your little sister'.

Thats no help if hes only 16.

I'm only 16 so would have to be a 50 cc.

or i think you can drive a 50cc moped / bike on a UK driving licence without taking tests etc?
#10
No, you still have to take a test.

if you dont have a full car license or got one after feb 2001, you have to do the CBT. If you passed your car test before then, you can ride a 50cc.

Look up the online highway code - it has full details:
