£600 budget for Dell laptop - what should I buy?

Title says it all! Got £600 to buy a Dell laptop (must be Dell) but not a clue what to do with it! Any help VERY much appreciated!

Well it depends on what you are going to do with it.

If your using it for surfing, email and looking after photos and music then the Inspiron 6400 would be perfect. although you wont be able to play modern games on it. It has a T2080 (1.7ghz) dual core processor 2 gb RAM and a 120GBhd and is £429 (£50 off)

or if you could stretch to an extra £80 for £679 (£70 off) you can get the Inspiron 1720 which has a massive 320gb hard drive, T5250 (1.5ghz) Processor, 2gb RAM and a dedicated graphics cards so that you can play games on it. It also has a 'proper' keyboard, as in it has a separate number pad like a desktop keyboard. This one though will be a real pain to lug around!
