Publisher would probably do it

The quality of image produced would be very poor with extreemly blurry details unless your using a very high quality camera image.

split pic
print to a set size
trim
join

you could practise by using a simple 'squiggle' image you make in paint so it doesn't use much ink

Windows paint can be set to fit to multiple pages.

As for scaling, if the image has good detail, choose something that can resize using the Lanczos method, it's one of the best for holding on to detail, but is unforgiving on poor jpegs as it also tends to amplify artifacts.

If nothing else, Irfanview is free and has a decent Lanczos resize option

As Basil Brush used to say...boom, boom!

On a serious note it depends what resolution the image is saved in , the first place. Even a print shop cannot blow up an image clearly if the dpi is not enough.

Rasterbator (Oi! stop sniggering!) converts to a multi page PDF, then anything which can print PDF can print it

If you get a balloon print it on there and you can blow up as big as you like :D:D

Sorry couldn't resist enlarging photos can cause them to go blocky ;)
