Hello everyone I want to get a decent PC that can play games like Gears of War and Halo 2 ok.
I am thinking off buying this Dell Inspiron 530 PC these are the specs:

Intel® Core 2 Duo E4600 Processor (2.40GHz,800MHz,2MB cache) [Included in Price]

Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium - English [Included in Price]

2048MB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x1024] [Included in Price]

500GB (7200rpm) SATA Hard Drive [Included in Price]

256MB ATI® Radeon HD 2600 XT graphics card [Included in Price]

DVD +/- RW Drive (read/write CD & DVD) [Included in Price]

Is this good for playing Games like Gears of War and Halo 2 other Games for Windows Games? I know if I want to play games like Crisis I will have the lower the graphics down but I don't care about graphics just as long as the game plays ok.

The reason I am thinking of getting this one is because this is the best one I could fined on dell.co.uk that will let me pay monthly instead of all in one.

Hi Ocelot20,
That PC will be ok for Gears of War and Halo 2, but you won't be able to play on the highest detail settings and will struggle to play the most recent games such as Crysis on anything but low settings. I would recommend either an ATI radeon HD3870 or Nvidia 8800GT if you want to play games. The cards cost about £100, so if Dell charge more than that to upgrade it would be better to sell the x2600xt on ebay or something and buy the graphics card yourself!
Hope that helps!

Hi thanks that is what I was thinking of doing buy now and get the 8800GT in a few months. Dell are a bit wiered they won't let me upgrade to a 8800GT on the PC am thinking of getting but will let me upgrade to a 8800GT on the XPS desktops.

Thanks again ill keep an eye out on dell.co.uk for another week to see if any other decent desktops go for cheap.
