Hi everyone,

I wan't to get into photography and I wanted a nice budget camera sub £200 to get started with.

I've seen the G3, Q10 and J2 but they all seem to have disadvantages I don't really understand.

Can I get some help one any camera that's good for my pocket, maybe some picture links :)

what do you see as disadvantages with the 3 you mentioned?

I don't see any, but I've been reading the comments from the deal pages and there are always suggestions for people to get other cameras. I want something that can take good pictures close-up and in the distance don't want it to bee too complicated but I do want it to help me get a better understanding of cameras and maybe get a more advanced one later on.

I saw that the G3 was old, the Q10 has bad sensor? and the J2 has bad image quality. All this is said but there were no pictures to explain what the problems were. I saw a deal where the poster had linked the Q10 pictures and I did like them.

tbh if you feel you might want to progress later you'd be better off getting a dslr to start with

I had a look at the ones in sales and the 1100D was the only one i could afford.

i'd rate that above an compact system in your price range and it has the benefit of a wide choice of secondhand lens
or as you want close up and long range on a low budget have you considered a bridge camera?

Hi thanks for your help. I forget to give an update, I went for the 1100D. Best choice :)
