Yesterday I saw a cheap graphics card on here and it quickly disappeared. However I managed to get one from Amazon. It's through a 3rd party seller but brand new. My mom received a phone call from Amazon saying that an item I had ordered was a mis price and that when I log on next too cancel it. I'm wondering wheher I should cancel it or wait it out in the hope that they honour it?

Extract taken from citizens advice
Your legal rights depend on something fairly tricky in the law: whether or not you have a ‘contract’.

Depending on the company’s terms and conditions, you’ll have legal rights (and a contract) either:

once you’ve paid for the item
once they’ve sent it to you

You’ll need to find the company’s terms and conditions to find out where you stand. Contact the Citizens Advice consumer helpline if you need help. It may be too tricky to work out yourself.

If you have a contract, the company can’t usually cancel your order, even if they realise they’ve sold you something at the wrong price. They’ll only be able to cancel it if it was a genuine and honest mistake on their part that you should’ve noticed.

If you don’t have a contract and someone realises they’ve told you the wrong price, they can cancel your order.

It won't have been Amazon it will be the third party asking you to cancel so they don't have to honour the price. If you cancel they get away with it, if they cancel its a strike against there Amazon account!

Ride it out bro! Don't cancel

The call isn't from Amazon it's from the seller. They want you to cancel as they are penalised if they cancel it.

don't cancel.. you have everything to lose if you do. :(

cancel it, why distress someone trying to make an honest living?
#7
Do not cancel. Let them cancel it.

How much cheaper? If it's an obvious misprice, then throw them a bone and cancel it.

If it sounds more like them simply wanting to renege on the deal they offered, then make them take the hit from Amazon if they want to cancel it

Are you American? If not, why are you calling your MUM, MOM?
