Contract is just about to expire so will be calling them in a couple of days to see how much they want to keep me.

Already have my eye on phone I want (Nokia E65) but what else should I ask for / what else have you been able to squeeze from them & how much should I be paying.

Current contract is Canary 30 £30 month.

I dont need many texts 50-100 plenty per month but need around 300 anytime minutes.

Having a look at a similar package from vodafone which comes in at £22.50 per month over 18months after initial 6 months half price & 10% online discount.

Not interested in 3rd party cashback deals - more hassle than theyre worth imho :-(

Cheers for that! Just what I plan to do.

What I need though is an idea of just how far I might be able to go & hearing what others have been offered / have haggled for would be really useful.

I would check out the deals offered by "3" then phone up Orange and try and get them to match them. You will have to get through to the retentions department not just the bod who answers the call.

Phoned Orange this morning & they didnt really offer anything more than the deal I've been looking at from Vodafone & of course with vodafone you get the excellent "At Home" deal too - Landline rental / Landline calls & Broadband all for £25 if you have a vodafone contract.

Vodafone you got a new (if mercenary & unloyal) customer :-)
