Hello,

Thought I'd drop a quick question on here for some technical help.

Bought a nice acer predator monitor for my pc to compliment my Nvidia GTX 1080 however I can't seem to get the monitors
Refresh rate paste 24hz.

Tried a few tricks and solutions and if I try to use Nvidia custom resolution and set it to 60hz the screen says no Signal.

Checked the specs before hand and it's meant to be able to run [email protected] over display port but unfortunately I'm unable too

What cable are you using ( Type and version )

Display Port 1.2 , Used one that came from a Dell IPS monitor at work and didnt work, ordered on from Amazon Prime Now which is 1.2 but didnt say any other spec and still nothing.

Prior to windows booting up and login screen displaying, the BIOS the boot screen are all showing 60hz however soon as i log in 24hz and and attempt to force it using custom res to 60hz black screen no SIGNAL

Uninstall your graphic drivers and reinstall them just for the best

Do you reckon it could be a graphics driver issue?

I've ordered a DisplayPort approved cable by StarTech in case, I've installed the driver for the monitor so it's not seen as a generic pnp monitor.

Are we talking full reinstall?

Always best to rule out a driver issue so probably worth uninstalling them and reinstalling. Doubt it's the cable unless faulty

DisplayPort cables seem to be hit and miss, checked
Official display port site and they recommended a VESA approved cable but yeah I'll get it a try when I get home

I've tried 3 more cables and completely reinstalled Nvidia drivers and still it's playing **** 24hz
