In tescos they have a holiday activity book, its only £1.99 and is full of great stuff. What about top trumps? They are light to carry and it gives my boys hours of fun!

what are top trumps? what do you do with them? my daughter loves boys things!

They are not just for boys, you can get girls ones as well such as Bratz. Top trumps are a card game, you can get them most places such as woolworths, toys r us, supermarkets etc.

Great fun, 2 person game, you deal out cards with sets of statistics on and you have to read out one and hope its higher than the one the other person has. The winner gets the card and continues play. Bit tough for a 6yr old, i'd reccommend sedatives instead.

I saw a travel art kit with stencils and stuff. Not 100% sure but think it was in the early learning centre and it was in the sale. I usually go to a cheap book shop and pick up a couple of sticker books.

The eye-spy airport books are always good - can spot things in the airport and tick them off..

Heck, ive still got mine from when i was 2 :)

And the cost about £1.00 each

If you can get Crayola twistable coloured pencils cheap then buy these instead of normal pencils. Normal pencils need sharpening and the mess they create and the Crayola ones just twist when the "lead" breaks. Sometimes Wilkinsons have them on offer.

Lots of places sell them - the book shops at the airport should do them. I'll try and find an online retailer

I can't find any online retailers selling them, but play have some for £1.50 - they're not expensive. There's loads in the range.
