Do you have a budget? All of the ones I've found so far are around £40...

Some - here

Pretty pink ones - here

I found some at JJB for £40, but was hoping to get them as cheap as possible.

I haven't skated since I was 13, which was 'mumble' years ago ... I fancy trying it again, but don't want to spend lots for something that'll probably be used as much as my PS dance-mat :whistling:

Sports World/Soccer £12.50 - you can buy them instore
http://www.sportsdirect.com

Just search for "skate" and they should come up....

They also do elbow and knee pads as well - you may be needing those.......

(Forgot to mention that if you're not familiar with Sports World/Soccer they tend to have stores on retail parks - bit like JJB but cheaper. Think there may be a store locator on the website)

Ooooowwwchhh !!

No more suggestions, please

Went to my local sports world store, tried on a pair on in-line skates, and fell flat on my *ss
Just hope they don't have CCTV or I'll be on you've been framed soon :giggle:

So, decided against them - but thanks for the help so far - rep given for your time and effort

They were selling off some old models for £3 (thats my excuse for getting them) - tried them on the patio - was fine for 5 seconds then fell over smashing one of my wifes favourite plant pots.....

Stick with the old "quad" type of skates, they are much harder to fall off from :)
I tried blades once and dislocatted my shoulder, so never again, he he.

I can't find any quad skates that are cheap, though ... all I can find cheaply are these newfangled inline neck-breakers:x

Do you know of any cheap retro skates?
(otherwise I might go round to mum and dads and ask if they have my original 1980s roller-boots!!)
[helper]#9
I've seen some retro ones on ebay but they were a bit pricey....
#10
yup, and they're exactly the same as the ones my mum probably binned !!
#11
are the skates in sadiebabes post above not the quad ones?
#12
yeah, but £40 is more than I wanted to spend for the privilege of falling flat on my *ss !
#13
£40 is cheap, I paid more than that for my wheels back in the 80's, they are still going strong.:)

Don't let that necessarily put you off - they do take a bit of getting used to, and are - as an example - more difficult to skate on than, say, ice.
