Hi,

Could anyone tell me if the following items are worth £440.00?

I am being offered the set which has been only used for 4-5 months. Brand new this would be worth over £600 I guess.

Links for cheap deals would be welcome.

Items:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 socket 775 processor complete with Cooler master fan
ASUS P5N32-E SLI AiLifestyle Series - Motherboard - ATX - NForce 680i SLI
OCZ 2GB DDR2 1150 Cl5.0 Dual Channel Flexxlc Edition
8800GTX Graphcs Card (not sure of brand but prob high spec)

Thanks

Second hand I'd say these are probably worth:

Items:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 socket 775 processor complete with Cooler master fan £200
ASUS P5N32-E SLI AiLifestyle Series - Motherboard - ATX - NForce 680i SLI £50
OCZ 2GB DDR2 1150 Cl5.0 Dual Channel Flexxlc Edition £60
8800GTX Graphcs Card (not sure of brand but prob high spec) £150

So for that price it's about right.

Check ebay for greater accuracy, but I would say it's a good deal.

If you can get a yorkfield processor ie. Q9450 then I would suggest doing this, as the Q6700 is getting a bit old, but still an incredibly fast cpu.

The same goes for the RAM and graphics card. bear in mind that DDR3 is becoming mainstream. Also the 8800gtx is being replaced now by the newer 8800's and the 9800gtx, which comes out soon.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info. I need to research a little more before committing.
