I'm considering buying an iBook for £400. The spec is:
Processor: 1.42 Ghz
Hard Drive: 80 GB
Memory: 1 GB
Display/screen: 14 inch
One year guarantee (Apple Protection Plan)
Worth it? It was going for £450, but he's agreed to sell for £400.
Will there be any life left in the battery? Guessing the machine is 3 years old. Where can I buy a replacement battery cheap? Noticed some on eBay via Hong Kong - but guessing these would be dodgy. Apple want £89.
It's for my wife's studying. Just needs to run Leopard, Bento, Office, email & web.
