Advice on Sharm El Sheikh - all inclusive for September 09

Hi all

Looking for a 14 night all inclusive break in Egypt in the Sharm El Sheikh area for early September this year - however there seems to be a bewildering number of places to stay - and as we have no idea of what is where, we wondered if anyone has any advice ?

Anyone been to this area and have any tips or advice you could pass on ?

We were hoping to spend around £800pp, but looking on line this seems to be way short of what's available.

Failing this, any other suggestions for an all inclusive location ? We did the Dominican Republic a couple of years ago and wanted to try something similar, or possibly closer to home.

All advice warmly welcomed.

Cheers

This place is really geared for those who want to spend time round a pool in a hotel complex, they are excursions out and trips to other places such as Dahab but to get the best from them you will want to be snorkelling or diving so not much fun if you have young kids.
They are local places for watersports etc but for a family holiday you will be restricted to Sharm and the Hotel pools etc

there are loads of good hotels in Sharm, nabq bay have some new hotels and its only about 5 mins from town. Intercontinental is one of the best.the national go-kart trackis in sharm and the quad biking in he sinai is amazing. There is swimming with dolphins, camel and horse riding, trips to bedouin evenings in the desert. the water clarity is second to none, snorkelling is free and an open water diving qualification is about £170
Go 5 star, you wont regret it
