Hi, I am looking to purchase a decent digital camera and would be very grateful of some advice please.
It will be used mainly for family photos on days out and I will be spending approx £100-£200. Any recommendations would be great!
P.S I don't mean a small compact camera, I mean one with a SLR type.

Many thanks in advance guys :)

it'll be >£200 for entry level dslr for just the body with no lens.

maybe consider a used Nikon J1/J2 with the 18.5mm f/1.8 lens for portraits.

or a Canon EOS-M

Out of stock ATM, but I would start with something like this and trade up to an SLR when you feel the time is right.
