Why not buy a cheap 19" monitor instead, better resolution than a cheap TV, I play on an LG 19 from tesco cost me £80.

basically yes, you will need an rgb component cable that has a 15 pin d-sub connector to connect up to a monitor.

Best 2 get a widescreen monitor otherwise will not look good, and you will need to connect it up to audio device like a surround sound system as there will be no sound unless you buy one with built in speakers with l and r audio in connectors, they are cheap enough you can get a 2.1 fo less than 15 quid.
