I have XL package includes phone free anytime calls national and internet and TV which i get extra channels and on demand-playhouse disney etc
i dont use most of the channels but son loves nick jr etc...and we dont use many calls either. I am paying £43 a month now. We have had it reduced for some time then they wrote me a letter telling me it was a mistake!) I am unhappy with virgin and their customer services.
Anyway can anyone suggest a better deal please? i dont have a problem going back to bt or splitting the services but sky is a problem as we have woodland so dont get reception!
Thanks in advance! rep will be left.

proberly bt your best bet then, im with bt and never had any troubles with them, you get what you pay for i suppose

At £43 Your not getting robbed here, so u must have had a real deal before no wonder they put it up. If you cant get sky then I think you will end up paying quite a bit more to split it.

I think that BT have now some TV packages not not sure how much, worth look

ring and ask them do they have a cheaper better package as i did this for my mum as she has everything and used to pay 70 odd pounds now she pays 41 pounds for everything that includes her sky movies as well which are 18 pound on there own then she has internet and phone and call time package we told them sky was offering a better cheaper deal and she was thinking of leaving them hope this helps

I agree £17 was a mistake, try and do a deal with them if u can but I think even 43 is not bad

Ive just got the 2 for £20 deal with Virgin. You get the phone line (just weekend calls free) and medium broadband plus there free TV. You dont get Nick Jr or Disney but you get Cartoon Network, CITV,CBeebies and the CBBC channel, plus the music channel on 313 changes to Nick Jr in the morning between 7am and 9am.

Obviously not got all the channels (its basically free digi but with all the virgin media interactive servies included) but it is less than half of what your paying.

If you want Nick Jr that's part of the L TV package so you'd have get that, I don't understand why it's £43, I'm on L TV, M broadband and free phone calls 24/7 (I hae no idea what size that is) for £30?

I know exactly how you feel I have tried many times to leave Virgin. My major problem was I don't have a BT line. If you do then great but if not you will be looking at an additional charge of £125 for them to reconnect you at the exchange. ( I'm saving up for this one!) The only way I get XL from Virgin now is to ring up and blast them down the phone threatening to leave they usually come back with a better offer. Always make sure you go through to the customer relations/ accounts as other departments are quite happy for you to leave.
