Usually they would lock a/c if they suspect fraud or abuse, if you can't wait open new account. If you have credit balance you may ask them via online Chat to refund.

funnily enough I think my Amazon account got hacked because I got a receipt for digital code for Assassins Creed Directors Cut on the PC which I obviously didn't order. Just rung them up to ask why this has just happened so they've put it forward to a fraud department. Ive changed my password in the meantime.

The order of AC1 was put as a hidden order too, strange...

I was hacked yesterday and someone placed an order....just changed my password and when I reported it to Amazon they didn't seem overly concerned.

I thought I'd been hacked too recently but it turned out the Amazon fire stick I sold was registered to my account and the new owners Amazon app purchases were showing in my account.

You have to let it take its course, they will be investigating potential fraudulent activity or a high percentage of returned items.

Really you didn't factory reset it? Crikey you're brave

Why would I factory reset a brand new sealed unit? Amazon registered it to my account without my knowledge or permission!
