Any tips on diagnostics or is it this a known limitation (only 1 smart plug)

no it isn't restricted to one socket. I have several.

try 'alexa set dab on'
and 'alexa set dab off'

when you look at smarthome on the alexa app does it show...

'DAB
WiFi smart plug connected
via TP-LINK Kasa'

?

Have you re-discovered devices after adding to the tplink app?
#2
mattbee: It shows up in the alexa smart home section so yes it has been rediscovered
#3

power alexa socket and ur wifi off and then wifi back on then socket and then alexa.. it fixed mine
#5
djb: which wifi?

Phone or router?
#6
Did the phones wifi but still no response

Try deleting both sockets and starting again. If it shows in the Alexa app under devices then you should be able to control it. What does Alexa say when you try to control that 2nd socket?

Q: DAB on
(device dab radio switch on)
A:I couldnt find the answer to your question

Are you saying D A B or DAB? I would avoid calling anything by letters. Change the name to simply radio. "Alexa, turn on radio". I presume you are just turning on the socket that the radio is attached to? I have cheap smart sockets and I just name them after the device they turn on like you have e.g. alexa turn on fire, and that socket will turn on. For my bluetooth speaker I just leave it in pairing mode and ask alexa to connect when I want it. Hope you figure it out but I would try different names.

I am saying like dab your forehead.
Yes turning the socket on that the radio is attached to.

I did try Pure (its a pure dab radio) but still no joy.

Good thanks for confirming it is multi socket.
Did you do anything with the alexa skill after you added another?
I setup one first with the skill. But there are not settings so i dont see why that would affect it.

YES!!!!!
using "set dab on " has worked :)
Very surprised but pleased thanks a lot.

pleased it worked :) alexa voice recognition is a bit flaky sometimes. using the command set meant it knew the next word would be a device. it was probably trying to find a command called dabon ;)
