Amazon nightmare...

I want to buy an item that costs £12 and see it qualifies for free delivery when total order is over £15.

Sweet I think, only need to find something for £3+ and i'm all sorted. However as I soon discover all this crap comes from a plethora of different 'stores' and each item wants to charge its own delivery! wtf? what kind of scam is this 'free delivery' when you have to pay delivery on some other item to get it on your inital item?

If I manage to get two items from amazon itself then I assume it will let me combine these into one delivery, but then how on earth can I find these items? Surely it's not a mindless game of hit and miss??

Not sure what the problem is, if you want free delivery just make your spend go over £15, otherwise pay for delivery.

Amazon resellers are not included, but that is clearly stated..

Not too difficult.

Are you sure you are not ordering from Amazon Marketplace. If you are, then the items are sent by individuals, not Amazon, and therefore will incur postage for each item (its a bit like ebay).

You may have found the first item on Amazon, but the other item you want to add is from marketplace.

I had the same problem the other day when trying to buy a 1Gb and a 2Gb MicroSD card. Normally the standard postage would be free but it seems that the items came from different sellers who each charge postage.

I wouldn't mind this but it was not clear which items come from Amazon and which from other 'shops'. I'm sure it says somewhere on the page but not in an obvious way.

Anyway, I kept it simple and bought elsewhere.

Exactly - but how can you search through amazon items seperate from the reseller items?? They are all mixed up. Which is the whole point of the thread.

I don't want to just pick whatever random object I can find as the extra item, I want to select something from the range that is actually useful to me. But where is this range? lol

Try adding the word 'amazon' to the search

Tried that. Doesn't limit results to Amazon stocked / despatched items.

walterboy, Not perfect, but it narrowed it down enough to be practical!
