This is my first post so apologies if its in the wrong place!

I desperately need a new fridge and I want an American style fridge/freezer, side by side one, does anyone know of any good deals at the moment?

Thanks

Thanks Karen. Did you sell for any particular reason and would you recommend that make again?

the model we had was silver samsung, chilled water and ice on the door, very nice, bought from currys in a bank hol deal...but in the 18 months we had it, i had the repair man out 4 times.. for the same fault. The chilled water stopped working, must of had the entire workings of fridge replaced, got fed up with it ((i like my filtered, chilled water)) so stuck it on ebay as faulty.. everything else worked on it, the ice still worked etc... a friend of ours who bought the same model 2 weeks after us, his has just broke down too... ... same fault.....
hope this helps you. :)

We bought an LG Fridge Freezer with ice maker/water dispenser (figured that an American brand would be less prone to breakages as more experience in making side by side models) from Amazon for less than £500. Touch wood we have never had a problem with it. Amazon don't seem to do as much of them anymore but thought you might be interested to know opinions on other brands.
