You can use a program called chipgenius to scan which flash chip is being used in the device you have, from there you would have to google a flash utility for the exact chip you have. Long story short, I'm not aware of any easy way to do this. You're better off buying another stick from a proper store as fakes are prevalent on both amazon and ebay.

If you want to test any new flash memory you should use a program called H2testw.
