My daughters HP Touchpad keeps giving the insufficient storage warning through android. Is there an partition resized or an easy way to move from 1 partition to the other. I have tried moving apps to SD storage, but still have problems. There is plenty of gb left on the SD side.
Thanks in advance.

Not sure about the HP Touchpads but

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.app2sd&hl=en

Works with most phones, alternatively search for "app to SD" on the play store and you'll find loads of offerings.

Not everything can be moved to the SD card.

In that case, I think what your asking is limited in what you can do to resolve it.

The HP as I understand it (never owned one) all the storage is hardwired and not upgradable. The SD aspect as such is limited by virtue of the size of the storage capacity available on the touchpad and the hacking that was required to get it to run Android and I guess you run CM9+. As a result the storage probably can't be juggled about much more.

This post explains what I think is the issue you are experiencing. It might be worth considering the Nook HD that was posted earlier today or similar tablet if storage space is becoming an issue. Alternatively, can you not back up some photos and remove some unused apps as it's hard to imagine how you could fill one up and not free some space.

To clarify as my last post was a little unclear (getting up at 4:30am does this), I understand the CM9 mod that got the TP android movement going split the storage like the below image by default.

From reading online there is now an easy tool to sort this issue rather than any hard core messing about.

Use jcsullins touchpad toolbox to completely wipe the tablet, remove webos and update to android Kitkat, much faster and no space issues as it's setup as a proper android device with full storage available for data and apps.
Dcx comes to my touchpad rescue again!!!! Will have a word with her about getting rid of web os. To me its a no brainer but for some reason odd now and again she does use it. Thanks.;)

Probably because it's actually very intuitive and if they had developed it properly had the chance to take on Android, Microsoft and Apple in the phone arena. It's a shame they killed it so quick as I really liked the OS on my Pre3.

I know what you mean because the web browser is very slick. Was very surprised they brought out the slate when they abandoned the touchpad. Had a word with my daughter and it looks as though that's my job for tomorrow night. Probably end up doing the other 2 in the house as well. Thanks for your help.

If you look at this post in the owners thread I link to all the files I used, there are perhaps newer roms, but they're nightlys so not as stable. I've found this mix very stable and with great battery drain when sleeping (1% per 8 hours).

I downloaded 2 of the 3 files, for some reason couldn't get the gapps, so got an alternative. Very easy to install, had a couple of crashes at 1st but think after rebooting it is ok. Will leave for a few more days before I do the other 2 tablets.

Getting lots of reboots and lots of apps won't even load, screen freezes etc. Anybody able to direct me to links to files of a stable ROM and compatable gapps and recovery. A lot of them have none working links. Tried 2 different ROMs and both more or less the same. Thanks in advance.

on a separate note, I have a touchpad, that was restored to factory settings, and as a result when booting up tries to connect to a server that I am guesinng no longer is up an running, is there anything I can do to bypass this?

U mean the WiFi? If so click on the WiFi router name, I think you keep it pressed in and then click on forget network.

It's most likely an app or something you're changing, I've run that rom for months not a single problem, never had a reboot or an app not work, maybe the gapps you flashed don't work properly, if I recall you didn't use the ones I linked to.

The HP server with WebOS, anyway not sure why you'd bother using that rubbish still, but:

Thanks dcx, so if I download the wrong gapps, would it just search play store for compatible apps to that Android version? I followed the links that you gave me but was unable to download the gapps. When I boot the laptop up I will try again using Firefox instead of Chrome.
