I keep checking on deals coming up but I will need to order a mobile in the next few weeks, one detail is it has to be dispatched from a UK location so it gets to me in time which rules out gear best deals.

Ideally it will be new, android 6.0, 3gb+ Ram, 32gb or more internal storage with possibility of adding a higher end card maybe a 128gb or 62gb card enough to hold a fair amount, possibility of buying a case for it unless it comes with one, camera and video functions seem pretty standard now so anything around 8mp is fine and 1080p recording would he great and finally unlocked, it won't be used on 3g/4g just WiFi/calls/texts, another thing is battery, it wouldn't be used intensely but would require a decent battery regardless.

I'm flexible on price up to maybe £120 if it ticks the boxes, new is ideal but might settle for like-new.

If it doesn't tick every box but comes in cheaper then it could be a contender.

The trouble is the last time I bought a mobile was almost 10 years ago so I could use the help of anyone who knows what they are talking about.

Great response, exactly the kind of suggestions I'm looking for, I was unaware of the WileyFox which looks the nicest from the given selection, I have 2-3 weeks, maybe less before I'll need it so any other suggestions are welcome and I will keep looking around too although I couldn't have found better deals than these myself.

It does look good but will need it within 5 days after ordering unfortunately.

Still looking for suggestions and will to raise the budget to £150 if this helps.

I'm not specifically looking for cheap, more for as much as I can get within £150 worth of budget.

I wouldn't settle on less than 2gb ram, it depends what you need it for, with 1gb ram you're fine with calls, texts, some browsing, gaming wouldn't be too steady, multitasking would be harder with just 1gb ram.

How well does that 3000mah battery last, I'm looking for decent battery time even if its not used for intense gaming/browsing.

A 256gb card does sound appealing, according to gsmarena it can handle one that size.

Are most battery's non-removable now?

I'm used to a time where you could always remove a battery, after all what happens if it starts to decline?

Well I went to work at six this morning used it in the car for music, had bluetooth on all day attached to my watch made 4 or 5 calls a few texts etc and its showing 84% at half past 4,( is in high 70% when i go to bed at 11+) very impressed with it, my LGG2 battery was good but this is better, tho I did root it almost straight away which may of helped.

Did not like the launcher it came with so put nova launcher on it,,, tho there are plenty to chose from....

Its quick, feels great in the hand and the only thing I have found as a downside is I cant put a clock as daydream so not a biggy ..........well worth the money and still way over £200 anywhere else...

PS ..A tip tried a few ways to root it and they all failed , so downloaded dc unlocker https://www.dc-unlocker.com/how-to-read-huawei-bootloader-unlock-code , you need 4 credits (£3.50) to unlock if you cant wait for the free code from EE and another 4 credits to root( well get the bootloader code) rooting is then free, .... so £7.50 to unlock and root

I have an octa-core tablet on android and rooted with king root though I can't say I notice the big deal with rooting, could you elaborate as to what benefit you gain by rooting the p9 lite?

From what I can gather you can install the best ad blocker when rooted but I don't know what else.

Its looking to be a strong contender now, I'm looking at the deal with beats headphones.

I'm also curious if the beats come in a separate box with the deal if anybody knows, I imagine they are separate.

Not really sure what benefits you get from rooting as not super tecky, but I remember about 3 phones back reading that it does help quite a bit with battery time.....but found out last night that you cant install google pay if rooted, I guess I would need to unroot it..

And another tip for anyone trying to cast Nowtv from a rooted phone, if it comes up device has been modified and will not allow you to cast, stop the stream hit the cast button then start the stream again , works fine then.....

Any thoughts on VR headsets?

I've tested the Samsung head set for VR and it was fun, I'm not expecting miracles but a cardboard version could be good if the p9 is compatible with any?

I think I'm going with the p9 beats deal, does anyone have a cheap source for an unlock code from when I need it unlocked?
