does it have to be brand new? I'd personally recommend the samsung s3, still going strong, 16gb memory PLUS sd slot, nice 4.7" screen, can be found for around £70 on ebay. s4's go for around 90 too if you want something a bit "newer".

other than that, if you're looking at brand new, then it'd be the xiaomi redmi 3s prime. immense battery life, 5" HD screen, good camera, 3GB RAM(!!) and a fingerprint sensor.

The s3 is pretty awful, I'm writing this on one. It's definitely worse than the Moto G.

It's hard to recommend one without knowing why she wants to replace the Moto G. The Redmi 3S Global is a good shout but beware you WILL need to reflash the firmware.

just got myself a very near new Wileyfox Swift 2 plus - £155 from CEX but usng vouchers bought here nearer to £125

would be a nice step up from Moto G - 32GB memory and 3GB RAM - plus it can take an SD card in leiu of teh second sim card

nice look and feel to the phone

Moto E3 and headphones at tesco for £8.50 a month on contract. It's a great deal, 500 mins, 500mb, 5000 text. Can pay little more and get more mins and Internet too. Also get an extra £3 a month off with Xtras app. Probably not what your looking for, but it's a great deal

Yeah that's what puts me off the Chinese phones I'm not the best tech wise so would prefer a stock android if possible

yes ..... well it's Cyanogen 13.0 OS ..... very customisation :)

there is also a cheaper version with less ram and memory - Swift 2

Wileyfox Swift 2 plus is still £149 on Anaxon which includes a free screen replacement in the first year should you need it. a bit more than your budget but don't think you'll get anything significantly better than the moto G for £100.
S3 and S4 are dire now. no updates for years, I would definitely avoid them
