I'm not sure if it's just my phone having this problem, so I thought I'd find out if anyone else is having any trouble.

There is an update for my phone that became available on the 30th of September. It's only 44.41mb which downloads fine, but whenever it reboots to try and install it, it just gets an error instead.

The update version is 6.0_20160930.
It also has DOOGEE X6 PRO in the title, but I'm sure it would be an update for Android rather than my phone.

It prompts me to update when I connect to wi-fi which gets annoying after a while.

Are any Android users also having this problem?

Thanks.

Need to know the error code or exactly what it says ideally if you want any help.

It doesn't show an error code. It only says error when it is rebooting, then the phone starts as normal and doesn't mention anything.

On the Elephone you get this if you have a memory card fitted if you have try removing and trying to update again

Have the same problem with version 2016-10-10. Reboots and then get the little green android man on his back with "error".
Two previous updates have installed fine in this phone. Doogee X6 pro.

Will a new release overwrite this one or can I delete the downloaded file and try again ? Ideas please :)

If you have a memory card in, remove it for the update.

That worked for both updates for me. :)

Tried with the card removed and with another card. I get a message saying insufficient storage ( ! its a 16GB handset with only 1.5 in use ! ) Its as though it knows the file is downloaded to the storage card and can't find it, (maybe).

I did a factory reset in the end. All updates then installed without problems. :)
