I looked at that photo standing on my head and still couldn't figure out what it is supposed to be and what the problem could possibly be...?

I'd leave it as is...do u mean she wants it flush with wall?

No I meant that its taking space and we are trying to find a way to use it with shelving or something but we dont know, sorry for not explaining it well

the photo is the right way round, the problem is that its taking space, I've never seen anything like it before

Well you can get shelving or cupboards put in (local joiner) or these are usually in small rooms so I have seen people build single bed platforms at 90° to it, but will depend on where the window is. Or a combination of them.

Build a wooden framed triangle on the bottom to give a flat base, then a frame to the ceiling to put a door in for a big storage cupboard, careful you don't fall backwards down the stairs while pulling out the Xmas decorations next year!

Thanks Grant! Where would I buy the triangle?

This is super common, normally it's to allow enough head height coming up the stairs.
I fit bespoke wardrobes for a living and I have fitted hundreds in rooms like this. To get around the, you can do as someone says above and effectively box it out so its square, alternatively we put an end panel to the side of it and build the wardrobe around it. I'll have a quick check on our website to see if we have any on there for your referance.

Well if you have basic carpentry and geometry skills then yes. I'm guessing it's your house and not a rental.

A local joiner would be able to put something together quite cheap.

Where are you based?

Thanks again Gavin, I'll get a carpenter to do it.

Are other houses on the street built the same? Perhaps you could ask other people what they've done with it. I lived in a house where they had it in the bathroom and converted it into a vanity unit.
