Surely if a place is decent it's high on TripAdvisor etc, otherwise it's just one random person on the internets own view vs hundreds or thousands of reviews.

Anything if the price is right! Burgers, burritos, etc

Not too keen on Pizza though

Leicester probably got the best Indian food outside of India due to the high local population of ethnically Indian folk - who also like a good beer and ruby :-) Why not try something down the Belgrave Road or for posher digs Chutney Ivy in City Centre.

Alternative there's a couple of Michelin Guide restaurants dotted about too.

Like the other say, TripAdvisor's the best place to get specific names.

Istanbul on Narborough Road - Turkish BBQ place.

Highly recommended if you are a meat eater!

I'm not a huge fan of Indian but Paddy Marten's Inn is known for being a good place. Good food and decent prices.

Barceloneta on Queens Road is good is you like traditional tapas and Pesto over in Desford is good if you like Italian tapas style.

Also worth a mention for Chilli Flames on Narborough Road if you like Nandos. It's basically a fake Nando's takeaway but a fraction of the price and just as good. Chicken always fresh cooked on the grill too.
