Any hotel deals?

Basically our anniversary is coming up next month and we want to spend the time away from home as too many people live here.

Looking for a hotel preferably near a shopping area (the mrs request) in London. I don't mind splashing out as long as it is good and near east london. Will be staying 1 or 2 nights.

Any good offers on hotels? Any codes? Can anyone recommend any hotels?

Thanks.

This might sound dumb to you people but i have never been to london, and the website im looking on for you a hotel, is asking me a specific place in london, so can you give me the name of the town or something xx

I've always found hotelclub to be much more expensive than other sites advertising the same hotel. I know they give you cashback but it still works out more expensive. Hotelopia & Laterooms as suggested earlier both offer cash back by quidco. Booking.com & venere.com are also worth looking at as well as price comparrison website travelsupermarket.com. Travelodge still have some £29 rooms available in August although sunday nights appear to have the cheapest prices.

No it doesn't sound dumb. London is such a big place with so many hotels in different neighbourhoods the website is simply trying to show results relevent to your request :)

Found this on Travelzoo:
Special Offer from Millennium Knightsbridge Hotel:
£99 -- 4-Star London Knightsbridge Hotel inc Breakfast*
Last Update: 02/07/2008 11:29:00
Sloane Street, Knightsbridge

Travel dates: 22 Aug-8 Sep

By Gillian Ripley
Travelzoo Staff

London's Millennium Knightsbridge Hotel is offering an exclusive rate of £99 per room, per night including all tax. That's £50 OFF the regular rate, and it includes FREE continental breakfast (worth £19.50 per person).

The offer is available for stays between 22 August and 8 September, but you must book by 31 July to guarantee this special rate. There is also a wide range of goodies that will make your stay even more enjoyable, including:

A complimentary welcome drink
FREE Internet access in room (worth £25)
FREE car parking (worth £42, subject to availability)
25% OFF food and drink room orders
How to book: Click here to book this offer online, or call directly on 0207 235 4377 (8am-7pm Monday-Friday and 9am-1pm Saturdays) and quote the reference ZOO.

About the hotel: The 4-star Millennium Knightsbridge sits amongst the most prestigious designer shops in London. The hotel is less than a two-minute walk from Harrods and is 150m from Knightsbridge Tube station, making it a fabulous base for exploring the rest of London. The hotel has two cocktail bars, as well as the Rosette-Awarded MU restaurant.

Keep an eye on travelzoo for hotels or you could try www.lastminute.com and click on secret hotels (a bit of research on google will allow you to identify the hotel) and see what is available.

Also seen on here that someone is selling their £30 per night Great Western Rooms in Harrow (near Harrow Tube station ) for Fri 8 August 2 nights for what they paid on this site. Not near East London, but anywhere in London is really ok as long as near a tube station (and not in a rough area).

Put in london and the dates you want currently comes up with Holiday Inn at Oxford Circus (by Oxford street if you want lots of shops) for £65 a night, Regents Park similar price as is Bloomsbury. Kensington Forum and Earls Court £59. All great places to stay in the heart of London. £49.50 for the Docklands if you want East London.
