I was wondering if anyone else who changed from O2 to Sky broadband during the takeover last year due an renew soon or had one? Any success stories?

Sorry, I realise how ambiguous I sound above... I'm currently on Sky bband after switching from O2 last year, but now its almost been a year. I was wondering if anyone had renewed with Sky

I was moved from o2 to Sky just before the end of the o2 contract. My only concern was that they don't allow you to change your DNS servers on the router. I got around this by using a separate DHCP server with my chosen DNS values. As I understand it you can get a better deal by contacting them before the o2 contract ends. I guess if they don't play ball you have time to migrate elsewhere.

got free line rental 12 months, some cashback think it was about £75, signed for 78meg package but had issues getting that when wireless (ok when connected by wire) in the end sky downgraded my price only so paying for 40meg but can still 78meg when connected with wire. Ring them up first before they ring you.

Recently left after the year was up as not prepared to pay what was asked for to renew. Sold Sky box for £30 and purchased graded freesat hd recorder directly from Humax which looked as new. Miss some of the channels, but happy to save money over the long run.

Hi, I did the same, although my deal was no where near as good as yours... that was about 11 months ago though, and obviously back then they said it was a 'special migration deal', so just wondering if people had renewed yet and what they got if they did!

I think it was about £40 for the entertainment package with bb and free weekend calls. I went to plusnet bb and anytime calls with hopefully a £70 cashback. The deal I was offered when I initially moved from O2 was very good - paid the line rental upfront - and I knew I was unlikely to get anywhere near that. May go back to Sky in 12 months if there is another great deal....

I wonder if that means it'll just be a quid more a month than the migration prices they gave us... surely not...?

Anyone who switched over from O2/Be and got "12 months free Family/ Entertainment Extra/ £32 TV pack" will automatically get "12 months half price TV" once the offer ends.

And if you speak to Phone and BB retentions you'll get a decent deal on that too
