Hi
Wanted to use a DNS proxy (I know vpn is better) to access Netflix. I am told that the best way is to configure it at the router itself rather than the console.
I don't want all my internet traffic through DNS proxy and also wonder if there are any privacy and security concerns.
Can you help? Thanks

Yes and been using it for some years. :) If you want to watch niche shows, documentaries, etc you do need netflix USA. Exodus leads you only to the title but streams are not always there!(_;)

In some circumstances it would be better to use the Proxy on the router but if you only want it for Netflix, I would say configuring the proxy on your console will be just fine

Would prefer that like I used to ......most have been blocked now. Any that still work at the console or fire tv?

Security and privacy concerns are massive. You are taking it on trust that they are routing all of your browsing from any device on your network to the correct place.
if you had an old router however... set that up inside your lan and use it just for the devices you want to watch Netflix on?

Fire TV :)

Smart DNS works fine. Just give your device a static ip with relevant DNS settings. No need to do it on router.
