Any Sky Plus Deals Out There?

I phoned Sky to find out what deals they had available for upgrading to Sky Plus and i was expecting them to hold firm on the price of £149 but what i didnt expect was to be quoted £209 which I was told was £149 for the box and £60 for the installation.

Taking the P*** or what.

I have been with Sky for as long as I can remember so no reward for loyalty.

So if anybody knows of any deals going on please let me know.

Best thing to do is say you want to cancel your subscription and go through to cancellations - they have the most deals

Say that you work shifts and are missing all of your fav programmes anyway so no point in subscribing. Havent got the money to upgrade to sky+ after christmas

I left Sky, if you return within 12 months you are still treated as an existing customer. That said, I have gone back with them (6 months after) and they have given me a sky+ box for £49 installed, £50 M&S vouchers (so i'm £1 up), I don't have to pay the £10 sky+ charge per month therefore don't need movies and sports which has now halved my usual bill to £22 per month.

This is a current deal too entice old customers back, funny enough the day after i booked my new installation, a flyer came through the door with this offer. I would ring them back and and do some drama!

there were also offering this:-

Sky are now offering exsisting customers a free sky + box when they refer a friend, the friend will also get a free sky+ box.
Not sure if installation is included and it may have ended,.

You'll be waiting a while for cable to your area, Virgin are well skint and aren't even cabling new sites.

Well it pays to be polite

I have just secured a new (free) digibox with free installation
and a £10 credit on my account (not the £65 I was quoted for a service call - once throughto retentions I was offered a call out for half price but declined and then was offered a free replacement due to length of time with sky)

I just read on another site that the more agitated you get the less you will be offered so keep it calm guys.

Also I was offered a sky+ box for £99

but I just bought a dvd recorder with hdd over christmas I declined. A bit less than zezlez though.

Also be sure to use the free number as my call was 56 minutes long!!!!!

Right, so i finally decided to get sky in as i have just moved into a new house and thought i would go for the tv/broadband/talk package. I logged on through quidco for my £125 cashback and ordered the 3 package deal with Broadband base and a standard sky box. Unfortunately when i tried to confirm the order i was informed that i already had a minidish so i could not process the order. (there was obviously a dish installed at this property before but it is not there now)! But here's the rub, I was allowed to order if i changed my order to sky plus at an extra £99

When i phoned them i was told that if i wanted the basic package then i could not go through quidco as they could not change the system info to read there was no dish at this property!

I am not even a sky customer and they are screwing me already!!:x

I had similar gripe with and ended up with Sky+ fitted in Decmeber for £49 inc installation.

I pointed out to them that I'd been a loyal customer for 8+ years, have my TV, Phone & Broadband with them and requested they offer me a deal similair to what is available for new customers as a gesture of customer loyality.

Initially they refused but when I asked for the terms of cancellation they 'reviewed' my account and offered ne the Sky+ for £49.

Don't know how I lived without it before.

Just had a look at the two links you mentioned.

The first one now just seems to offer both parties a £50 M & S Voucher, but there were loads of T&C's which I couldn't be bothered to plough through!

The second link wouldn't even load unfortunately!
