Any UK modern coin collecting experts?

Over recent years, whenever i saw a £2 coin in my change which looked a bit different, i put it to one side. Just checked now and have quite a few different ones, £80's worth and wondered, are any of great value, over and above the obvious £2?

I've got about £50 in five pound coins too, all bought from either Royal Mint or Post office. I know they're all legal tender but again, are they worth any more?

I've looked on ebay and it's as flaky as always lol
Thanks in advance

Face value only I'm afraid. If they are mint/near mint, genuinely rare, and you keep them 100 years they may increase in value but would probably do better in a high interest account, even though interest rates are $h1t at the moment.

Tells you the amounts minted so you can try to pick out any that have potential

The 4 commonwealth games coins as a set might have some potential

Sorry Rob, no. I was i'd have known of your interest before i went to the bank in haste. Bit further North than Exeter but would have posted :( Sorry

Was a bit of fun at the NatWest. Cashier had some reluctance taking the 10 x £5 coins at 1st. I said, 4 times, fine, i'll take them back but she just carried on checking, moaning that she didn't wanna take them.....and then did!
Seems sad to get rid but equally sad to have kept them......
