Mrs Apogee00 wants me to get one but I'm getting mixed reviews so thought I'd ask here first. would you recommend them? did you use it with or without extensions? which would you suggest?

(would be used at bottom of stairs with extensions)

thanks :)

We had one and used it as a dog gate. Good build and colour had no problems with it, even kept the adults in too. Sold it on like new to a couple who used it with the extensions, they had no complaints either.

a couple of reviews say the button? wears away quickly and you can't buy spares...did you notice this at all? How long you have it?

Had it for about 3 years and was used regularly everyday. Had no issues with anything hence why we were able to sell it on almost like new too. Maybe the button wasn't pushed in enough by the users in the reviews, had similar problem with a Lindam gate many years ago where through lack of effort when pushing the button it did give way.
