under 250 no

anything without 1080p is poor
check ebuyer..otherwise you will stretch your budget. A toshiba 42" a while ago on here for £479 looked good.

Unless you are gaming on a PC, very few games are 1080P. The PS3 and 360 upscale 95% (or more) of games to fill the 1080P screen. Also worth baring in mind that cheap 1080P sets tend to be poor at scaling so freeview and DVD's look dire. A 720P Plasma would be ideal for current gen gaming as it is the correct resolution, instant refresh rate and great black levels. Unfortunately they are 37" up and you would need to go second hand for that price. The only 32" one is a discontinued LG 32PG6000, though it is supposedly a corker. Try AVForums, ebay and here for a 2nd hand bargain, you may even come in under budget.

If you have to go for a new 32" screen for gaming, the best cheap LCD around at the moment is the Samsung LE32B450. Have a read of the review you will see it is great for both gaming and general usage:

Cheapest price for it is £282, well worth the extra £30 over the likes of Ebuyer own brand:

You can also get it with a DVD Player and a 5 year warranty for £350 from John Lewis, or you could get them to price match Richer Sounds at £310 for the TV on it's own. This is probably what I would do as a five year warranty is well worth £30:

Hardly worth getting a 1080P TV for. Only reason to buy one at the moment is for Blu Ray or future proofing. Also bear in mind that on a 32" TV you only have to be four foot away and the human eye cannot physically distinguish the difference between a 1080P and a 720P image.
