Comes from Hong Kong , will be a non EU model (warranty problems ) , possible 30% Import Duties and VAT to pay before delivery, very difficult to return (at your expense ) .Thats why it appears cheaper .

I've bought from Hong Kong before usually with a 1yr retailer UK warranty. Some of them prepay the VAT and there is no import duty on these afaik.

Thanks for the response, I think it best to stay clear and pay a bit extra for a better retailer

After reading through there terms and conditions for repair/guarantee I would not touch these with the proverbial barge pole.

they are Chinese and ship from Hong Kong. if you order you could be subject to a tax demand as it passes thru customs. sometimes it get thru without.
you pays your money and you takes your chances

Yes thats what i thought so i asked 3 questions
First is it this spec below with .
64-bit Intel 2.3 GHz Quad Core process with 4GB RAM and 64G storage
Second
Item ships from uk with no import duty or vat.
Third
Whick type of plug does it have 2 or 3 pin etc
Their reply was
1st, the item is as per our listing title.
2nd, We ship our items from UK so there should be no duties or extra charges.
3rd, We are selling 100% genuine and brand new which ship from UK but we sourcing from worldwide so there are an adapter for the charger.
So im still well comfused.

Yes I hope so.I hope I sell an item on eBay this week for £50.00 or more.As I will get a £50.00 voucher for eBay 2/3 weeks later. Which would be nice.and bring down its price to about £185.00 for the top spec zenfone 2.

They'll be grey imports so zero warranty. Looking at some tablets they do not seem so cheap that I would risk the warranty.

Thanks. Is that cos they are from the far East? If I was to buy a phone from Europe would it be the same? I'm thinking Asus Zenfone 2 from Amazon

I bought 2 LG G3 phones from them on ebay and they are perfect and exactly as described.

If you buy from European retailer then you should be covered as if you bought in this country, even more so with a company like Amazon.

But aren't we talking about the manufacturer's warranty, surely that is valid wherever it is bought, after all they must be supplying them with the phones!

No that's incorrect the manufacturers warranty 90% of the time is only valid in the countries that the product was sold in.

Went for it in the end as others on XDA have said they were able to register there phones online.

Just one example so I hope it's not a samsung!

NOTICE REGARDING GREY OR PARALLEL IMPORTS INTO THE UK FROM OUTSIDE THE EEA

It has recently come to Samsung's attention that certain distributors, dealers and retailers have been dealing in Samsung-branded mobile handsets that have been imported into the UK from outside the European Economic Area ("EEA") without Samsung's consent. These are commonly called "grey" or "parallel" imports. The EEA consists of the 27 countries of the European Union plus Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein.

Under UK and European law, Samsung can rely upon its registered trade marks to prevent third parties dealing in such grey imports that have not been approved for sale in the EEA by Samsung. This right to take action against grey or parallel imports from outside the EEA was confirmed by the European Court of Justice in the joined cases of Davidoff v AG Imports; Levi-Strauss v Tesco and Levi-Strauss v Costco (21st November 2001). This decision has subsequently been upheld by the English High Court on a number of occasions.
Samsung takes the issue of trade mark infringement very seriously and does not consent to or approve of the importation and sale of grey market mobile handsets from outside the EEA.

Accordingly, Samsung reserves the right to take action it considers necessary to prevent distributors, dealers and retailers infringing its rights by dealing with such grey market handsets.

Samsung takes its safety, regulatory and warranty requirements very seriously and ensures it meets local requirements wherever its products are sold, including products imported into the EEA with Samsung's consent. In relation to mobile handsets emanating from outside the EEA and imported without Samsung's consent (ie. grey or parallel imports) Samsung Electronics UK Limited may not be able to offer warranty support on these handsets.

Further, Samsung may not be able to confirm that grey market mobile handsets will conform with all EU safety and other regulatory requirements even in circumstances where the importer or reseller concerned has applied its own "CE" sticker to the handsets concerned.

No it is Asus. Two members of XDA have purchased from eglobal and they have registered the phones online with Asus so once that is done Asus are bound to abide by the warranty. I'll do the same and if it does not register for any reason then back it goes!
