Not just on HotUKDeals.. In general have you ever won anything?

The only thing I've ever won is a bottle of horrid red wine at a tombola and I am fond of a comp ;)

I've won many things over the years. I seem to be winning lots via twitter lately.

My best thing is winning a DJ competition - beating thousands of other entrants to win a HP Envy 14 laptop and a NI Audio 10, both together worth about £1400.

I played a one armed bandit on a website that was for a promotion at a trade show in London, I got three lemons came up and it allowed me to print a voucher of for a prize. I turned at the stand and handed it over expecting a pen or similar and the guy gave me a video camera! This was was they cost around £150, it was my first decent win of anything.

I've won a holiday in Spain and £500, a trip to Hamburg, a long weekend in Lisbon, his and hers watches, a Ghetto blaster, a years supply of M & M's and a number of smaller prizes. I must say that the wins were a long time ago when you had to send things in by post and complete a sentence in so many words.

I won a bottle of Proseco on the Christmas tombola last week. :-)

I have probably entered on average three competitions per year but think I've been quite lucky. When I was 15 or so, I won tickets to the Scottish premiere of "Can't Stop the Music", the Village People film (yes they made one!) and they arrived in an open topped bus, and I got to meet them and Hot Gossip, a dance troupe of the time. I won a slimline dishwasher which I promptly sold. I won an Iced Diamond fridge with a year's supply of beer (12 cases of 24 cans of Miller), I don't drink beer! - sold the beer and donated the fridge to my local scout hall who needed one. I won a Haagen Dazs pampering kit with all sorts of goodies in it, I still have the lovely ice cream spoon years later. I won two Mackie's Ice cream insulated thermos picnic box things, vouchers for 12 cartons of Mackie's ice cream and 12 vouchers for large packs of Mackie's Crisps. I won the first choice at some church raffle when on holiday in Berwick and I chose a bottle of Glayva, yum! I've won other small things but can't remember them all offhand. However, I have played the lottery from the first week it started 20 years ago and I have won £10 twice, nothing else, EVER! That included me running a syndicate of six friends for about five years too, we only won one £10 in all that time!

I've won stuff over the years on raffles and tombola. Won a holiday to Tenerife, hated the place, it was like my vision of hell. So now, I am going to get something off my chest which has bugged me for a while. At my sons former school, I was the first three tickets out in the raffle. There were only four prizes, three big Hampers and a hot chocolate set. I thought the right thing to do would be to ask them to draw again. By the time I had got out into the foyer, where the hampers were, the three had gone. I looked at the women running the thing and rather embarrassingly they handed over the hot chocolate gift. I just looked at them. They wished me a merry Christmas and carried on clearing up. The Head a Teacher came out and saw what they had done. He was really unhappy that they had passed the hampers off to their mates.... I thanked him and went home. The kids loved the set, then saw the use by date it was three years old...

Not cup half full at all...my cup overflows, just shocked by the behaviour of some. Besides which, I caught a gold Flamedeer.
