Hi all,

Looking into a week's cruise in May/June, never done one before, can anyone recommend anything? Less than £900 per person.

Will rep good suggestions, cheers!

Hi Steveo,

What cruise line would be best for you depends on what you're looking for. Some are still very traditional in their ways with lots of pretty frocks and tuexdos, but many are much more relaxed with regard to dress and dinner arangements, children etc.

Also, I have found the best deals always seem to leave from overseas ports, but then you have the added expense and hassle of flying somewhere first.
It's so good (for us) leaving from Southampton, where you have an hours drive and then park right next to ship and go to checkin. Beats the hell out of flying.

When you have a feel for what you fancy try http://www.cruise.co.uk/ for one.

You can read reviews of all the cruiselines on here and all their ships by name. They also do pretty good cruise deals too.

Also, regarding price, take note that all (I think) cruise lines charge a per person per day tip amount to your onboard account, this could be about a tenner a day which really adds up if you're keeping to a budget. Also, alcoholic drinks won't be included and are pricey.

Try http://vacationstogo.com for £900 per person you could fly to Miami and do a Caribbean Cruise!
We did one with Carnival and it was fab prices from like $500 per person for a week!

For research when you have a idea look at cruisecritic.co.uk

Should deffo try and cruise on a royal caribbean ship , the one that leaves from southampton(independence of the seas) with a flow rider on it would be a great idea.

Been on a cruise on an Island cruise ship which was good around the med.
Then been on a few Royal Caribbean cruises around the east and west Caribbean, both were great but really love the Royal Caribbean ships that little bit more.
